- Formulation, disbursement and management of the Recurrent estimates of expenditure
- Public Sector Remuneration and Wage Management
- Spearheading reforms in areas of Public Finance and Programme Based Budgeting
- Production of Budget Performance Reports

- Formulation, disbursement and management of the Capital estimates of expenditure
- Implementation of Inter-Governmental Fiscal Transfers
- Provide technical advice on the implementation of Public Finance Reforms and issues pertaining to expenditure and Fiscal Policy
- Produce Implementation Plans and cash cash-flows for Capital Projects and Programmes in consultative with Implementing Agencies
- Prepare comparative analysis of capital budget, project physical performance and produce periodic performance reports
